Brushpen on moleskine. Maybe will colour this one day. When having artist block, draw naked women with plenty of foliage around her T___T

It has been an extremely busy week! Just completed Iron Man II sketchcards (I drew 89 cards in 2 days, I seriously thought I was gonna die), and there'll be 3 official sketchcards gigs due end of January 2010. Half of my colleagues at the Saladin team are leaving today as their contract had ended, and the rest who are staying (moi included) are moving into the new office so guess who was moving stuff into the new said place. We had free lunch, and a farewell cake, and everyone said their goodbyes and that made me sad. I really hope we'll have a chance to work together again! These are immensely talented and amazing bunch of people.

Farewell

Just finished watching Ratatouille in the cinema, and the lights were up and I received news that Mike Wieringo had passed away.

It was kind of sad, he was a great artist, always had time to comment on newcomers on the Drawingboard forum, large array of inspiring works - I guess it just hits those who love him and his works doubly hard because he was just so damn nice.

Here's to an amazing artist and person.

...is just too cool. This is my weak attempt at depicting him during a conference session at CG Overdrive '07 in Singapore. It was what he said when the Quicktime files he was playing had no sound. This guy is pure genius. He's an effects animator, does everything handrawn and has done works for Iron Giant and Pixar's soon to be released animation, Rattatouille.

Contrary to what I wrote (if you can read my horrendous handwriting) he didn't design Animo, but tested it out for its animating capabilities. Check out his awesome body of works here: http://www.gagneint.com/

I am so sleepy now

Someone back in uni came up with this phrase: I'm too lazy to sleep.
I remember going - what the heck how can you be too lazy to sleep? That doesn't make sense.
But now it kinda does - I'm sleepy but I'm too tired to drag myself upstairs so that makes me lazy I guess.
You can tell I'm real sleepy when I start rambling like this. Night u all.
