I blame this awful drawing on the cranky state of my body right now. Last night I couldn't sleep because it was too warm, and woke up with a flash fever and a horrible headache. I had to take the day off from work because goddamnit, I felt like I just want to curl up and die. The headache and general discomfort continues until I took a nap and took some fluids, some meds. Internally I was telling myself how everything in a human body are made up of a series of very precise processes, and a slight rise of temperature, or change in acidity etc can just throw everything off balance. How I hate it when things get thrown out of balance!

Anyway I can't sleep again, and the headache persists and I feel so very cranky so here it is. In a perfect world, Bella Swan will look like this, and Edward Cullen can look at her and choke on his own vomit and die.

Augh started out doing this feeling optimistic then my bad painting skill takes over. It sorta got overdone, and by the time I got to her shoes, I got lazy. Yucks!

It's that loose and not-so-contained kind of quality in a painting that still eludes me - back to practicing I guess!

Fooling around in Painter SAI again. Seriously, this thing is awesome. It's like the best of Photoshop and Painter combined together in about 2 MB of application. Anyway, I like octopus. Octopusses? I should go to sleep now.

Was trying out Painter SAI at the behest of my colleague Mel, who is extremely wonderful at painting with it (check out her lovely mer-people over at her blog listed on the side - that girl is AMAZING!)

I can't paint all that well, but I must say this application's pretty sweet! Easy to use and light on computer memory :)

I love you and yet I hate you

Damn you Bourdain. Your traipsing around the world had rendered me unable to sleep so I am up at this ungodly hour. And in mere hours I will have to go to work for it is already Monday, probably fueled by an uninspired, insipid breakfast while you feast away on pasta slathered with sauce concocted from roasted tomato on a balcony facing the ocean in Sicily. I hate you, Bourdain (but I love you too. Such a complicated emotion it is).

To make matters worse, my cat is trying very hard to occupy my workspace by sitting on my tablet and hooking a paw over my working hand. I am only tolerating her because she recently had her uterus and Falllopian tubes removed and is wearing a pathetically hilarious cone over her head. Only this time, kitty.

Bourdain is My Bane

You know that show 'No Reservation'? Where celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain traipse around the world and partake in the cuisines with wanton abandon? (he was less enthusiatic with the fermented shark in Iceland.. but still ..) It makes me hate him because I am practically chartreuse with envy. Yes! Not merely green, but chartreuse! It takes a special kind of jealousy to be able to turn into a specific hue of green.

What's worse is that after a session of the show, I'd be left with tantalizing images of gorgeous food which sears itself into my mind, and I'd go home to salvage a kitchen which yields nothing but instant noodles (onions included if one is feeling fancy).

Oh looky! It's Friday the 13th today. Anyone crossed a black cat yet? Nearly been hit by car for at least 5 times consecutively since you woke up? Got mugged and accidentally tasered yourself when you're trying to accost said mugger? I myself had fallen sick today with the flu - it's lucky in the fact that I don't have to go to the office but unlucky in the sense that getting sick as an adult sucks way more than when you were a kid.
And I haven't posted for about a week when I said I'm going to post regularly! So much for keeping to my words...

My Cat is Crazy

My cat is in heat now and is desperately horny. So desperate that she sprays places in the apartment (purpose is to leave her scent for male cats to follow, like a breadcrumb trail). When I clean up these 'marks', she sprays ME instead. It's like being peed on and I feel completely violated >.<

Friday afternoon sketch! I can't wait for weekend tomorrow - for my friends and I will have a board game/video game party! We will play Smash Bros. on the Wii and scream our lungs out...

About the sketch - it is inspired by an outfit I think I saw Sarah Brightman put on in one of her live performances. Except hers have leaves stuck all over her dress. I think. At any rate, she's such a crazy, dramatic bat. But interesting, nevertheless.

Oh My God! I wish I can come up with something good and funny and sassy spontaneously but at the end of the day this is all I can muster, and frankly I don't like it so much. Looks too posed and forced, no? I need a hawt Christian Bale movie. Christian Bale solves everything.
